About us and our partners
We, as artistic lecturers at the university, feel the urgent need to speak on the pressing problems of contemporary life - the future of our civilization and the natural environment.
One of the challenges related to ecological threats is the difficulty in communicating their seriousness and social recommendations, which remain unconvinced despite fact sheets (“Caution from scientists around the world to humanity: a second warning”, signed by 150,000 scientists). Consider that artists have an important role to play here, their bold ideas can help you understand very abstract and distant knowledge. Activities planned in the project: workshops, presentations, publications, lectures, meetings with participants and specialists from several countries, contribute to arranging international debates on topics, transnational problems and the transfer of ideas in various areas of culture. Cooperation with The University of Alabama makes it easier for us to look at the issue more broadly. We are absorbing virtual reality among our students, and more. We find it extremely important to start with them that nature is first teacher, especially the creators. Workshops in the open air, supported by lectures on nature, its presence in art for centuries, use such meaning. Niezapośredniczony, careful contact with nature is also the first step towards raising ecological sensitivity. Science from the Academy of Fine Arts in Krakow come from HS University of Applied Sciences & Design Trier students who want to develop more in artistic than design direction. To meet these needs, we have planned cooperation on the challenge of participating in an artistic workshop and creating an exhibition problematic. We, in turn, count on the basis of the experience Hochschule has in working in interdisciplinary teams. The Faculty of Graphic Arts of the Academy of Fine Arts in Krakow and the Faculty of Arts of the University of Belgrade combines a similar approach to cultivating the tradition of workshop graphics, unique in comparison to other academic centers in Europe. It is necessary that we support each other and exchange experiences and reflections on contemporary trends and the development of this art. The need to face new challenges, confrontation of attitudes and experiences, both ideological and workshop related all pedagogue artists participating in the project.

Conducting intensive international exchange, we observe that students coming for exchange and Polish students tend to close themselves in their circles. We want to think about how to teach them greater openness to themselves and the ability to cooperate in a group. The source of this information is observation during classes in the laboratories, surveys filled out by students and interviews after scholarships with coordinators of international exchange programs at our university, as well as opinions collected in the National Survey of the Professional Careers of Art Graduates.
